Dental Vouchers

At Aperture Dental, we bulk-bill for Child Dental Benefit and Metro South Oral Health Authority Vouchers.

A procedure or treatment is bulk-billed when it is completely subsidised by Medicare. 

In dentistry, bulk-billing usually occurs in public dental clinics, unless a scheme exists to outsource the treatment to private dental clinics. Aperture Dental Practice is a Private Dental Clinic.

At the present, the Australian government has the following schemes in place to provide for bulk-billing in a private dental clinic:

• Metro South Oral Health Authority – Dental Vouchers

Aperture Dental Practice has an agreement with Metro South Oral Health (MSOH) to provide bulk-billed service for both green and yellow Dental Vouchers.

There are two types of DENTAL VOUCHERS issued by Metro South Oral Health (MSOH).

Green Restorative Vouchers

These vouchers are for emergency / general dental services of the value up to either:

• $260 for emergency dental treatment, or
• $750 for general dental treatment

Yellow Prosthetic Vouchers

These vouchers are for denture services of the value up to either:

• $450 for denture repairs, or
• $1000 for new dentures

Prosthetic Vouchers can only be accepted by a Dental Prosthetist.

Dr. Pei-Song Zhao is a highly skilled and experienced prosthetist at Aperture Dental Practice.

ADULTS

For adults to be eligible for bulk-billing with a Dental Voucher, you must be a Queensland resident, be eligible for Medicare, and be receiving benefits from one of the following concession cards:

• Pensioner Concession Card issued by the Department of Veteran’s Affairs or Centrelink
• Health Care Card
• Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
• Queensland Seniors Card

If you are eligible, all your dependants named on the card are also eligible for free public dental care.

CHILDREN

If you think you may be eligible, you should contact your nearest Queensland Oral Health Service Facility on 1300 300 850.

You will need to present yourself to the Oral Health clinic to collect your voucher. Remember to bring your proof of identification with you, i.e. your Driver’s Licence and Concession Card.

You will be given a voucher and a list of dental clinics participating in the Dental Voucher scheme.
